Students work on their OWN projects for each class with support from instructor Jess McDonald. Anyone who has taken an embroidery, EPP, or hand stitching class can join! ITGCWL1: Intro to Garment Construction - Wovens - Level 1
Intro to Garment Construction - Wovens - Level 1 focuses on understanding fabric types, sewing with woven materials, basic construction, and professional finishes. Students will learn how to read and understand PDF apparel patterns (the most popular option for apparel!) and shape them into wearable garments. Students will also create a reference binder of techniques, terminology, and notes on their journey to custom clothing! This pattern and technique-focused workshop runs once a week for 6 weeks.
