Move over, Newfoundland Rogues, East Coast Quilt co's stitch group, The Stitchin Chickens, is the new hottest team in town, giving a whole new meaning to "hooping"! Students work on their OWN projects for each class with support from instructor Jess McDonald. Anyone who has taken an embroidery, EPP, or hand stitching class can join! This is the perfect opportunity to meet others in the community, be motivated to create, and get one-on-one help with your projects. Intro to Garment Construction - Wovens - Level 1 focuses on understanding fabric types, sewing with woven materials, basic construction, and professional finishes. Students will learn how to read and understand PDF apparel patterns (the most popular option for apparel!) and shape them into wearable garments. Students will also create a reference binder of techniques, terminology, and notes on their journey to custom clothing! This pattern and technique-focused workshop runs once a week for 6 weeks.

Intro to Garment Construction Wovens Level 2 builds upon the foundational skills learned in Wovens Level 1 while creating two NEW projects! Join instructor Anna for this "level up" class! This course will expect that participants will be comfortable with their machine, have basic pattern-reading knowledge, and have some apparel construction and cutting. Students must purchase the PDF print patterns available online. ECQco can print off your pattern after purchase for a minimal printing fee!

An introduction to the Inkle Loom Weaving! Learn how to wind a warp, set up your loom, and weave a project of your choice!

In this 6 session series, students will be walked through the complete process of project planning, creating a warp, dressing the loom, and WEAVING on the Ashford table loom! Students will have the option of making a table runner, a set of placemats, or a cloth which they can use in future projects
