- measure, cut & piece your fabrics
- ‘sandwich’ your layers & quilt them together
- learn how to bind your quilt, resulting in a finished project!
Basic machine sewing skills are needed ie can you sew in a straight line!!?? 🙂
Classes are Tuesdays, 6 sessions. Daytime (1:00pm to 3:30pm) or evening (6pm to 8:30pm).
We do have COVID protocol in place at the shop: we have reduced the number of seats available to ensure social distancing and request you bring a mask to wear when necessary. The workstations and machines will be sanitized before & after each class.
If you have a sewing machine please bring it with 1/4-inch sewing foot, a walking foot & extra bobbins. Contact us if you do not have a machine as we have a several available to use for the duration of the course.
As well a basic sewing kit is needed: rotary cutter, small snipping scissors, straight pins, safety pins, seam ripper, 50 wt cotton thread, notebook & pen/pencil.
Construction of the 45-inch x 60-inch throw quilt requires 12 fat quarters to piece the front & additional fabric for backing & binding. As well you will need batting. Enjoy a 15% discount on all materials & supplies purchased during the duration of your course.
