Learn to Sew with Knits: Make A Classic T-Shirt

Join instructor Kerri Ivany in this apparel workshop using the PDF pattern "Union St. Tee" by Hey June Handmade! The workshop happens over 2 evening sessions.

The Union St. Tee is a great wardrobe basic to have in your pattern stash.  It comes with the option for a v-neck, scoop neck, or crew neck, and has four sleeve lengths included – short, elbow, 3/4, and long.  There is an optional chest pocket and a separate front piece that has been adjusted for a full bust (FBA).

This pattern is easy enough for a confident beginner to complete, using either a sewing machine or a serger. Students must purchase their own copy of the pattern to protect copyrights. Please purchase the pattern here:

Learn the best practices for cutting & sewing stretchy fabrics.

Students will be required to print & assemble their PDF prior to workshop start, in order to maximize class time in the cutting & assembly of the top. A detailed instruction will be sent out 7-10 days before the workshop start date.

No serger experience is necessary and the serger is supplied!

Please bring your sewing machine and a serger (if you have one).  Machine rentals are available for $10 a session if you do not own your own! We can also print your pattern in-house for a fee.
