Slow Stitched Designer Jacket 2021-22 (formerly Slow Stitch Club)

Slow Stitching: purposeful and focused immersion while stitching which
benefits us in physical, emotional, and spiritual ways. In this beginner-friendly
class, hand stitching collides with fashion in a fun and exciting way! By starting
with a loved denim jacket, you can create a unique garment without the
expert skills of sewing the clothing first. In this slow stitching class learn the
basics of embroidery, beading, English paper piecing, hand piecing, wool
applique, hand applique and Broderie Perse , kantha, sashiko, and boro
stitching. Participants will garner an appreciation of slowing down in our
consume-rush-finish world. The class will culminate in a self designed denim
jacket worked on throughout the year
