Hope Tattoo Mini Quilt - Foundation Paper Piecing Workshop

Join Foundation Paper Piecing Guru Katie Harrison and learn all her pro tips and tricks to make this amazing quilt block. You can make it into a mini quilt, or it could be the beginning of a larger project. You may have seen Katie's famous "Janice Fitzgerald" quilt in the media over the last few months! Did you know that she used foundation paper piecing to create that work of art? Why, yes indeed, she sure did!

From Happy Sew Lucky: “Sailors had swallow tattoos as a symbol of HOPE.
When they saw swallows out at sea they knew that they were close to land,
and that their treacherous journey was nearing an end, and reaching
their destination safely was imminent. When designing this block I wished
for this same hope & safety for all those around the world that have
recently become displaced by war and politics, that are on treacherous
journeys to try and find a safe place to live for their families.”
This fresh and modern quilt block is a great way to practice your FPP skills
and inspire hope for the future! This block can be made into a mini quilt,
a wall hanging, or the center of a bigger quilt. Check out Happy Sew
Lucky’s 10 other Tattoo Quilt blocks that complement this one!
