Hexagon Quilt - Weekend Warrior Mini Retreat

Join us for this fun weekend workshop and make this beautiful Hexagon Quilt. The jewel toned hexagons provide a burst of color against a field of stars in the simple, but elegant quilt. Colleen will help you break the design into easy to manage segments so you can create your own quilt in a weekend. Lunch will be provide both days.

In this workshop you will make a 54” x 72” size quilt which will make a great cuddle quilt.  

Requirements:

Background Fabric: 1.5 meters Kona Solid
Hexagons: 54 x 10inch squares (if using yardage, 12 x 1/4m x WOF)
Binding: 0.5 meters 

Rulers: There are 2 options for rulers to construct the blocks.

Option 1: Missouri Star 10" half hexagon ruler, plus ruler with 60 degree angle (can be a regular 6x24 ruler with 60 degree markings, or June Tailor Easy Equals 60 degree triangle)

Option 2:  Jaybird Hex N More Ruler



All rulers are available at East Coast Quilt Co, and students will recieve a 15% discount on all supplies puchased for the workshop.

This class is suited for adults (age 15+)

COVID protocol is in place: Masks are Recommended. Machines and work surfaces are sanitized before and after sessions.


CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a class and it is 7 or more days before class, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the class with a 30-day expiry date. If you cancel less than 7 days before class, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class regardless of reason. So please ensure that you are able to attend before signing up. East Coast Quilt Co reserves the right to cancel classes/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT: 
For most of our classes we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).
