Kids' Sewing Summer Camp - Summer 2023
A week-long day camp, full of fun & interesting projects. Geared to hone basic sewing skills plus challenge the kids to tackle trickier procedures. Ages 9 to 13 years. Sewing machines & all materials provided.
This summer we offer 2 different syllabuses/syllabi, allowing returning participants to tackle new projects, or giving newcomers a 2-week sewing adventure option.
Please pack your own lunch and snacks.
9am - 4pm
Kids Camp Weeks 1 & 3 (June 26-30 & August 14-18)
Projects will include:
- Wallace the Whale Stuffed Toy
- Mermaid/Merman Zipper Pouch
- Small Storage Baskets
- Floor Pillow
- Quilted Journal Cover
- Pillowcase
- Hand Embroidery Project
- Community Outreach Project
Weeks 2 & 4 (July 3-7 & August 21-25)
Projects will include:
- Tulip Hat
- Small Wallet
- 3D Stuffed Christmas Tree
- Cactus Pin Cushion
- Puff Quilt
- Octopus Stuffed Toy
- Community Outreach Project
*Other projects may be added or substituted based on timing and students progress during the camp.
CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a class and it is 7 or more days before class, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the class with a 30-day expiry date. If you cancel less than 7 days before class, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class regardless of reason. So please ensure that you are able to attend before signing up. East Coast Quilt Co reserves the right to cancel classes/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.
WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our classes we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, notebook & pen/pencil etc.).

| Instructor Bio: | Lori is a combination of the Energizer Bunny and (a younger!) Jenny Doan! She is a gifted teacher, a talented quilter and a funny, outgoing individual! Her classes are fun & informative. |
