Sammy The Scarecrow's Fall Fun

Join guest Instructor Margaret Lo Bianco in a 2 part workshop to make this fun, seasonal wall hanging. Sammy the Scarecrow will feature techniques using fusible appliqué. Margaret will share her tips and tricks for award winning results. 

• Non-permanent fabric pen/pencil - light and dark
• Threads to match fabrics
• 22 x 18 inch Pellon TP971F fusible fleece or quilt batting
• 22 x 18 inch Pellon P44F light weight fusible interfacing or favorite stabilizer
• 1 yard Steam- a -Seam lite or Heat N Bond Lite paper back fusible
• bits of wool or twine for the Scarecrow's hair and tufts on corn
• small amount of black embroidery thread
• small beads for black birds eyes 

• 21 x 17in Blue sky background
• 22 x 18in backing fabric
• 1/4 yard dark blue binding
• 13 x 9in light brown straw Scarecrow's Hat
• Fat Quarter of a small plaid scarecrow's shirt
• 12 x 12in navy scarecrow's overalls
• 12 x 12in scarecrow's kerchief
• Fat Quarter Scarecrow's face and small flowers
• 6 x 6in golden yellow, yo-yo burgundy flowers centers
• 13 x 13in green cornstocks, hat band, pumpkin stems
• 5 x 5in corn fabric for corncobs
• 6 x 6in black birds
• 3 x 3in dark grey bird wings
• 7 x 7in two pieces orange - one for each pumpkin
• Fat Quarter for the burgundy flowers
• 1/4 yard brown - sunflower centers, need WOF to cut strips
• 1/3 yard yellow for Sunflower petals
• 5 x 5 in green - yo yo flower centers for cream flowers
• scraps of pink, orange, black - scarecrow's cheeks, nose and eyes

This class is suited for adults (age 15+)

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a class and it is 7 or more days before class, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the class with a 30-day expiry date. If you cancel less than 7 days before class, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class regardless of reason. So please ensure that you are able to attend before signing up. East Coast Quilt Co reserves the right to cancel classes/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT: 
For most of our classes we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).
