Baby Becky Lou Whale Stuffy
Make your very own Baby Becky Lou Whale stuffy!
Everyone just loved Becky Lou from Baccalieu last year when she made her inaugural journey to the Festival of Quilts (she's been at the festival 2 years in a row!), and now you can make a baby whale for yourself or share with someone you love!
Lori Shortall will guide you, as you choose your fabrics, cut and sew together your whale. You're sure to pick up a trick or two! Pattern and stuffing are included in the registration fee. Bring some fabrics from your stash or choose from our great selection here in the shop. Workshop participants will receive a 15% discount on your supplies.
Supplies Required:
- 0.5m Body Fabric
- 0.5m Belly Fabric
- neutral thread
- basic sewing kit
- sewing machine in good working order
- 2 buttons for eyes, or alternatively you may decide to hand stitch eyes on using embroidery floss
This workshop has been adapted from a free pattern from All Free Sewing and Camelot Fabric called Wallace the Whale.

This class is suited for adults (age 15+)
CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a class and it is 7 or more days before class, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the class with a 30-day expiry date. If you cancel less than 7 days before class, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class regardless of reason. So please ensure that you are able to attend before signing up. East Coast Quilt Co reserves the right to cancel classes/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.
WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our classes we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).
