Serger Basics - Level 1 - Test Drive!

Ready to tackle a new kind of sewing machinery? Join instructor Glenda Devereaux for Serger Basics Level 1 - Test Drive!

In this workshop, participants will learn the various parts of the machine, how to thread a manual and air threader Serger, create a set of samples, and learn various tips and tricks! This workshop is perfect for those wanting to try serging or thinking of buying their own!

Sergers and all supplies are provided for the duration of the workshop. Already own a serger? Head on over to Level 2!

This class is suited for adults (age 15+)

All workshop participants are required to sign a waiver prior to the workshop. The entire waiver can be viewed at the bottom of our classes page. (East Coast Quilt Co. Workshop Waiver)

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a workshop (either one-day, or a multi-day series) and it is 7 or more days before the start date, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the workshop with a 30-day expiry date. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no-show" in the workshop regardless of the reason. So please ensure that you can attend before signing up.  EAST COAST QUILT Co reserves the right to cancel workshops/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full workshop fee.

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT: 
For most of our workshops we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).
