English Paper Piecing Club - Wander Blooms

Join Instructor Jess McDonald for this "wanderful" EPP project! Perfect for beginners and seasoned quilters. 

The “Wander Blooms” quilt is a stunning pattern that uses English Paper Piecing to create star blocks. The stars are arranged in a way that creates the impression of a field of blooming stars. The overall effect is a beautiful and intricate quilt. Whether you choose to do solids, florals, or blenders, this quilt will have a "wandering" effect. 

The resulting quilt is both beautiful and functional, making it an ideal project for anyone who loves sewing and quilting, as well as those who appreciate the beauty of nature. Finished Size: 45" x  65"

This program runs for 8 months and meets one evening per month! EPP is a slow stitch piecing method and students will be required to do work in between sessions. Students must be comfortable with threading needles and stitching small stitches by hand. Students must also be comfortable using a rotary cutter and ruler. 

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- Yardage (based on pattern requirements and design preference)*
- Sharpes or Milliners Needles (size 10 or 11)
- Glue pen & refills for basting
- 60-degree ruler - we suggest the Easy Equals ruler by June Tailor
- Wonder clips
- Quilting ruler
- Wander Blooms Pattern (included in cost)

The included pattern kit has all the pre-cut papers required for the project as well as complete pattern instructions. Designed by Stephanie Organes.

Fabric requirements will vary as students can choose to stick to the same colour scheme per bloom or be as adventurous as the pattern calls selecting up to 22 fabrics! The first class is dedicated to fabric choices, fabric cutting, and prepping your EPP pieces. 

This class is suited for adults (age 15+)

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a workshop (either one-day, or a multi-day series) and it is 7 or more days before the start date, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the workshop with a 30-day expiry date. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no-show" in the workshop regardless of the reason. So please ensure that you can attend before signing up.  EAST COAST QUILT Co reserves the right to cancel workshops/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full workshop fee.

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT: 
For most of our workshops we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).
