Rigid Heddle Level 2 - Pick-Up Sticks

Add texture to your weaving and your life with the use of pick-up sticks!
In this class we will weave a sampler of various patterns that can be achieved with pick-up sticks. By the end of this class you will have a strong understanding of pick-up techniques and be able to experiment to take your weaving to a whole new level.
Texture in pick-up weaving is achieved by creating “floats” where the weft and warp travel over multiple strands at once. Pick-up sticks are a great way to begin understanding weave structures beyond plain weave including twills, overshot, and you can even weave images.
With a stick, some patience, and the skills learned in this class, the sky is the limit!
