
Basics of Machine Embroidery

Do you have an embroidery module for your sewing machine but haven't given it a try yet? Or have you always wanted to try out machine embroidery but haven't had the opportunity? Check out our introduction to machine embroidery workshop series which requires no experience or background!
In this 3 part series, you will learn the basics of machine embroidery including stabilizers, hooping techniques, embroidery threads, downloading and uploading files from a website to the embroidery machine, design placement, and embroidery machine operations and troubleshooting! Students will embroider a personalized quilt label and an apron or tea towel from a choice of embroidery designs.
Some supplies are included. A limited supply of brother embroidery machines is available to use for those who don't have one!

2 Spools of Glide Thread
Fabric & Stabilizers for Quilt Label Project
Stabilizer for one chosen project - Apron or Tea Towel (blanks are for purchase here at the shop!)

Sharp Snips
Extra Machine Needles (80 or 90)
Tweezers
Design for Project (Instructor will give options)
If you already have glide threads, please bring a few colours along!
