Flared Pants Workshop
Flared leg inserts are coming back in style! Kerri will show you how to create custom inserts and the best practices for altering your own pants to this style! Use scraps or small quilt blocks to make it funky and unique!
SUPPLIES
- A pair of pants! Jeans or something of the same structure works best (little to no stretch). The ideal pair will have NO topstitching on the outside seam and split seams on the inside (this will make it easier to unpick!)
- Fabric for the insert - this amount will vary based on the size of the insert. You can piece scraps together for a unique look
- 90/14 or 100/16 needle
- Rulers & rotary cutter (if you are doing piecing
- Basic sewing kit (coordinating threads, stitch ripper/blade, small snips)
- Sewing machine - or rent one from the shop for $15 for the day!

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a workshop (either one-day or a multi-day series) and it is 14 or more days before the start date, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the workshop. If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the workshop, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no-show" in the workshop regardless of the reason. So please ensure that you can attend before signing up. EAST COAST QUILT Co reserves the right to cancel workshops/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full workshop fee.
WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our workshops we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.)
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR SEWING MACHINE IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER, and that you know how to thread and wind a bobbin. Instructors may not be familiar with all makes and models, and troubleshooting machines can hinder instructional time. RENTAL MACHINES ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
