Machine Embroidery - Christmas Gingerbread Cookie Ornaments

These gingerbread cookie ornaments are made in the hoop and are perfect for students looking to practice their machine embroidery skills. They are ideal for teacher, family, or friend gifts. Hang from your Christmas tree, add to packages, include with Christmas cards, or give a whole set to newlyweds.

The embroidery files are from Design by Juju and include 7 designs: heart, bell, gingerbread boy and girl, reindeer, snowflake, and a gingerbread house. You can leave them as stitched or add some additional bling by applying crystals, buttons, and bows. This workshop will only cover making 1-2 ornaments during the session, but participants will gain the knowledge and practice to create the rest on their own.

A 5x7 hoop or larger is required for all 7 designs, although a 4x4 hoop can be used for 4 of the designs (heart, bell, snowflake, and the house). Supplies required are brown and white felt, scraps of batting, medium tearaway stabilizer, and embroidery threads, 1/4 or 3/8" ribbon. The lacey edges are optional and require the use of pinking shears or scalloped scissors. Embroidery scissors and tape are also required.

A link to purchase the pattern/embroidery files from Design by Juju will be provided to the student; each student must purchase their pattern/file separately before the first class.

A limited supply of embroidery machines is available for use from East Coast Quilt co; please reserve in advance.
