
Learn to Quilt - Level 2 - Squared

A comprehensive course that will walk you through every step of quilting while constructing a throw-size quilt, Squared2, approximately 58in x 58in. This is a free pattern by Suzy Quilts.
Over the 6 weeks, you will:
- become familiar with using rulers & rotary cutters
- measure, cut & piece your fabrics
- sandwich your layers & quilt them together
- learn how to bind your quilt, resulting in a finished project!

Basic machine sewing skills are needed ie: can you sew in a straight line!!?? ????
Sewing machines are included for the duration of the workshop (in store ONLY). If you have a sewing machine, and are familiar with it, please bring it with 1/4-inch sewing foot, a walking foot & extra bobbins.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
- A list of fabrics required for the first class will be emailed 7-10 days prior to workshop start. Please have materials purchased and ready before start of class, to maximize class time with cutting/prep work
- rotary cutter & ruler (6in x 24 recommended)
- small snipping scissors
- straight pins
- safety pins
- seam ripper
- 50 wt cotton thread
- notebook & pen/pencil (optional but helpful!)

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a workshop (either one-day, or a multi-day series) and it is 14 or more days before the start date, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the workshop. If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the workshop, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no-show" in the workshop regardless of the reason. So please ensure that you can attend before signing up. EAST COAST QUILT Co reserves the right to cancel workshops/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full workshop fee.
WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our workshops we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).

Scented products can trigger serious health reactions in folks with asthma, chronic migraines, allergies, or chemical sensitivities. Please help us maintain a healthy environment for everyone by not wearing scented products.
