Bamboo Huck Lace Scarf

The Sidney pattern, by PetrasFiberRoom, is a versatile 4 shaft scarf design in two colors: plain weave surrounds an open and airy huck lace center. Woven in bamboo, this scarf is lacy, dreamy, and soft on the skin. Due to the Bamboo warp and weft, these scarves have terrific drape. Join instructor Jess McDonald on this delicate but skill developing adventure!

Weave Structure: Plain Weave & Huck Lace; this is a single shuttle weave.
Students will pick any two colors in 2/8 bamboo for this project. If students prefer less of a shine, they can go with 2/8 cotton instead!

Students must purchase a copy of the Sidney pattern from etsy to protect copyright:

The PDF weaving pattern consists of 8 pages and includes detailed step by step instructions, tips, project calculations, drawdown, heddle count, tie-up, treadling details and pictures. Your instructor will walk you through each of the steps and propose options for making the scarf larger or smaller in width. The pattern is designed for a scarf measuring 7.5in x 75in, however, students may decide to adapt the pattern to go as wide as 12 inches.
