Intro to FPP (Foundational Paper Piecing)

Have you heard the term FPP/Foundation Paper Piecing and wanted to try it? Well now is your time to learn this fun technique!

Join instructor Nicole House for a fun, relaxing and encouraging evening as she teaches the basics of this beginner friendly technique.



Participants get the opportunity to pick their pattern - 12” Vintage Sunburst or 12” Woven Star. Both patterns will create 12.5in unfinished block. 1 pad of Woven Star will create 21 quilt blocks. 1 pad of Vintage Sunburst will create 10 blocks. Extra pads may be purchased to make larger quilts. 




Materials:
8 corresponding fabrics (scrap friendly!) to create a block. Cutting info will be sent prior to workshop start. Pull light and dark fabrics from your stash to add variety! 
Small ruler recommended (~3" x 12")
Basic sewing kit (see below for details)
Sewing machine (classroom models available to rent for duration of workshop) 

This class is suited for adults (age 15+)

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a workshop (either a one-day, or a multi-day series) and it is 14 or more days before the start date, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the workshop. If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the workshop, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no-show" in the workshop, regardless of the reason. So please ensure that you can attend before signing up.  EAST COAST QUILT Co reserves the right to cancel workshops/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full workshop fee.

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT: 
For most of our workshops we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: a rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, a seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).
