
Stack-N-Whack

Stack n’ Whack is a fun and easy way to create scrappy quilts, table runners, placemats and more. Take a pile, stack 'em, whack 'em, rearrange, and sew 'em back up again!
Gather your scraps or a layer cake(s)/yardage and come learn this generations old and fun technique.
Join instructor Nicole House for a fun, relaxing and encouraging evening as she teaches the basics of this beginner friendly technique.
Materials:
- 6x 10” blocks of different colours/patterns or layer cake(s)/yardage if you wish to make a larger project afterwards
- Neutral coloured thread for block piecing
- Scissors/snips
- Rotary cutter (be sure to have a fresh blade for this!)
- Ruler (12”+ in length)
- Straight pins
- Sewing machine
- 1/4” foot (optional)
This class is suited for adults (age 15+)

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a workshop (either one-day, or a multi-day series) and it is 14 or more days before the start date, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the workshop. If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the workshop, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no-show" in the workshop regardless of the reason. So please ensure that you can attend before signing up. EAST COAST QUILT Co reserves the right to cancel workshops/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full workshop fee.

Scented products can trigger serious health reactions in folks with asthma, migraines, allergies or chemical sensitivities. Please help us maintain a healthy environment for everyone by not wearing scented products.
WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our classes we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).

| Instructor Bio: | Meet Nicole, our newest quilting enthusiast! With over 20 years of quilting experience, Nicole brings creativity and expertise to our team. Specializing in appliqué, she has a lifelong passion for other forms of art, such as clothes making, cross-stitch, embroidery, plastic canvas work, painting, and cake decorating. Outside of crafting, Nicole has spent 14 years working provincially and nationally with children through Scouting. Nicole finds great joy in quilting for Quilts of Valour. |
