Christmas in St. John's - Quilted Advent Calendar

Join EAST COAST QUILT co & instructor Donna Mactavish for this 1.5 day session workshop to create a festive wall hanging! 

This advent panel features 24 actual houses, located in the historic downtown of St. John's. In this workshop, participants will quilt the panel & stitch the corresponding house panel to its image to create a colourful, charming advent calendar. Create pockets for a dowel hanging on the back & finish the edges with binding. 

The completed advent measures 24 inches by 40 inches.  Perfect to tuck candy canes and tiny treats! 

*Please note session 1 is a FULL day from 10am-4pm & session 2 is a HALF day from 1pm-4pm.

Other materials needed (NOT included in workshop fee):
30" x 45"/1.14m Backing Fabric
145"/3.7m strip of Binding Fabric (buy premade or get 0.25m-0.3m to make your own!) 
14"/0.35m Fabric for inside the pockets
Basic Sewing Kit

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a workshop (either one-day, or a multi-day series) and it is 14 or more days before the start date, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the workshop. If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the workshop, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no-show" in the workshop regardless of the reason. So please ensure that you can attend before signing up.  EAST COAST QUILT Co reserves the right to cancel workshops/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full workshop fee.

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT: 
For most of our workshops we ask you to bring a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.).
