Class 2: Straight stitching & pressing while making a Patchwork Pillow
Class 4: Make straps while constructing a Crossbody Bag
If the participant has a sewing machine please bring it to become familiar with it; otherwise, sewing machines are supplied.
- thread snips/scissors
- straight pins
- seam ripper
- 2 fabric markers - one for light fabrics, one for dark fabrics
- sewing gauge
- 2 spools of thread, one light, one dark
All workshop participants are required to sign a waiver before the workshop. The entire waiver can be viewed at the bottom of our classes page. (East Coast Quilt Co. Workshop Waiver)
WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT: For most of our classes we ask you to bring a basic sewing kit which usually contains: a rotary cutter and/or scissors, small snipping scissors, straight pins, a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook, pen/pencil, ruler(s), etc.
WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cannot attend a workshop (either one-day or a multi-day series) and it is 7 or more days before the start date, you will receive a store credit for 75% of the value of the workshop with a 30-day expiry date. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, you will NOT receive a refund or store credit. No credit or refund will be given for a "no-show" in the workshop regardless of the reason. So please ensure that you can attend before signing up. EAST COAST QUILT Co reserves the right to cancel workshops/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full workshop fee.

Instructor Bio: | Katie Harrison is a teacher, outdoor educator, and fiber artist who lives in St. John's with her husband and three cats. Over the last decade, Katie has dabbled in cross stitch, embroidery, needle felting, knitting, sewing, and quilting. She enjoys taking on large creative projects, most notably the quilted portrait of Dr. Janice Fitzgerald.
