Locally designed by Kathy Burton, this paper pieced pattern will create a colourful puffin block measuring either 10in or 12in. Can be adapted for a tote bag or incorporated into a quilt!
Materials needed:
- 1 fat Quarter in the following colours: two shades of blue (or any contrasting fabrics you prefer) to separate sky & sea, black & white.
- Small scraps for the beak, feet, the mountain in the background and the rock the puffin is standing on
- 18in x 18in thin batting
- 1/2 meter for the lining of the pillow cover
- 1/2 meter for the block border and back of piullow
- 18in pillow form
- 20in zipper
