Handmade in Newfoundland, Steve's Wood Works creates unique and individualized Drop Spindles.
Drop spindle shafts are typically 9 to 14 inches (23-35cm) in length. Standard top-whorl spindles usually feature an 11-inch shaft, while heavier bottom-whorl or plying spindles often measure up to 14 inches to accommodate more yarn. A 10–12 inch shaft is the most versatile for beginners.
